Marwan Kheireddine Achievements in his Professional Journey
Marwan Kheireddine is the CEO and Chairman of AM Bank, the largest commercial bank in Lebanon. As the president, financial and economic issues are at the top spot on his to-do list. He attended Richmond University in London for his BA and MBA at Columbia Business School in New York City. After working for several years in the financial sector, his unique background made him an ideal spokesperson for policies designed to keep Lebanon in compliance with international standards.
Anti-Money Laundering Act, Capital Markets Act, and the Cross-Border Cash Limitation Act were all enacted due to his efforts. Lebanon’s National Social and Economic Action Plan discussed economic issues with the assistance of Marwan. Lebanon’s Advisory Board proposed a service-oriented investment law for the Advancement of the Business Environment. The wage structure committees, government and non-government, and the PPP law committee were all concerned with progressing economic and social progress. Marwan Kheireddine significantly contributed to creating BDL Intermediary Circular 331, a regulation that encourages long-term economic growth through entrepreneurial activity.
The circular enable investors to invest in innovative start-ups and venture capital.
Marwan Kheireddine’s small and medium-sized enterprises have always been the core of his work. Marwan Kheireddine also worked as a financial adviser to the Beirut Stock Exchange (BSE) CEO from 1994 to 1999. He taught financial management at the American University in Beirut from 1993 to 2013. Since the beginning of the YPO-Lebanon chapter, Marwan Kheireddine has served as its president, education officer, and financial officer. He also co-founded the Lebanon chapter of the Young Arab Leaders organization and served as the president. Lebanon has advocated for legal reform, budget transparency, decentralization, and local governance reforms. Marwan is a trustee of the Lebanese Center for Policy Studies and a member of the board of directors.
