Zaxby’s has made headlines for its integration and revival of customer rewards. Customers who joined their exclusive rewards program received a complimentary Big Zax Snak Meal. This offer included their signature chicken fingers, Texas Toast, and Zax Sauce with fries, and a small Coca-Cola drink. At a time when restaurants are cutting back and slashing costs, Zaxby’s wanted to offer more to customers.

The restaurant’s chief CEO and strategy officer, Patrick Schwing, reported they are officially going all in on their rewards program by extending the special sign-up offer. He reports the response has been over the top. Their official updated app launched in September and caused many to sign up, about double the number of active users with a 4.7-star rating on the app store. Zaxby’s allows customers to rack up points for purchases and redeem things. Something that they did offer for a time was free deliveries every Sunday, followed by a week of free delivery back in late April.

In regard to how the points system functions, customers earn 10 points for every dollar spent which can be redeemed for free food on the menu or money off coupons. According to details in the article from Fast Casual, Zaxby’s has locations in about 17 different US states and its main base is in Georgia. In line with the chain’s increased popularity, its customer loyalty rewards program helped increase the app’s popularity as well. Zaxby’s app was listed by QSR Magazine as the fastest-growing app with an increase of 317%.

This is attributed to their updated customer rewards program in 2022. One of their most wanted food items remains the chicken sandwich, viewed as a big hit among their customers.
