Mike Fleiss is an American television producer and writer. He is the creator and executive producer of “The Bachelor.” The Bachelor franchise includes “The Bachelorette” and “Bachelor in Paradise.” He auditioned for a show on Fox about looking for love, which he calls his worst audition ever since he did not believe in himself then. Fleiss created The Bachelor to be an empowering experience for women who want a chance to find their true love.

After college, MIke Fleiss began his career as an assistant to a talent executive. He then became a talent agent for Creative Artists Agency and helped develop reality television series like The Real World and Survivor. He left CAA to work briefly for 20th Century Fox. Then he was hired by ABC in 1997, where he created reality TV series like America’s Next Top Model, The Bachelor, and its spinoff shows, The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise. In 2006, The Bachelorette was named Favorite Reality Show by People Magazine for the third year. In 2007, The Bachelor became one of the top ten most downloaded shows on iTunes and ranked in rankings from “Favorite Network TV Show” to “Funniest TV Show.” In 2008, ABC picked up the year-old reality show Celebrity Wife Swap and premiered it against The Bachelor’s 14th season premiere. Fleiss has received eleven Emmy nominations. He also received a Daytime Emmy award for “Outstanding Reality Program” for The Bachelor and its spinoff shows.
