The Colcom Foundation Highlights the Imbalances of Our Planet Today

The Colcom Foundation exists in order to help create a balance between the world we live in today, and the growing effects that our overpopulation has had on the planet. As our population continues to grow, our impact on our planet will get more and more severe, and the problems our planet is experiencing will only get more dire. We have a variety of problems that have been created by humans including habitat destruction (many species have seen their homes decimated), pollution, biodiversity loss, etc., which is a result of the explosion in human population and our energy use in the past several generations.

Colcom Foundation supports several special programs, including the Conservation Catalyst Fund, which grants conservation organizations working to protect threatened species and habitats. By offering financial support and resources, this foundation allows these groups to make significant strides in conservation efforts.

One huge crisis the Colcom Foundation is focusing on is the mass extinction event that has been caused by humans taking over the homes of many species of animals on our planet. We are in the sixth mass extinction crisis, and it’s causing huge disruptions to our geological makeup as well as our human advancements over the past 200 years. These are holes that are forming in the tapestry of life, and many people see this as being irresponsible to the planet we live on, and the animals that we live alongside. The people who are alive today are consuming far more energy and resources today than ever before in their entire lives.

We at the Colcom Foundation are focused on solutions to these problems, as well as ensuring that people are educated on what is happening to our animal population today. We are looking to explain to people how we can limit the resources we consume in order to help save the planet and protect the animals that we share this planet with today. Slowly shrinking populations in the future will also help us ensure that we do not reach 10 or 15 billion people on our planet, who will only overtax our planet more and more for precious natural resources that we all should be conserving.
